to protect them from thiefs and from enemies i guess but u can wrench em and move them away but only do it if the truck has been standing there for a long while like an hour or so

Locking is an important feature can't even count the times someone tried to steal my truck loaded with stuff for the frontline....

Then they should do something to allow allies to jump in the back and maybe just allow the drivers side to lock.

As the game develops and the newer player base understands what on earth is going on, the whole truck thing will become less of an issue. People will still lock vehicles, only when they intend using them in the near future otherwise they will end up remaining unlocked for others to use. If they don't lock them and someone steals it, well that's their own fault.

You can't get far in this game without teamwork, and as everyone's mindset changes to realise this vitally important fact, trucks won't turn arterial routes of bases into car parks either. The majority of trucks will instead be used by supply players who will ferry troops and resources around the map.

Frontline players do also need to have some patience. Half the issue with frontline bases becoming car parks in the first place is because they don't have the patience to wait for supply trucks who do transport troops, or call out in team chat they need a lift... so instead they steal vital resources to build their own trucks and add to the problem. Then they have the audacity to lock them before never using them again!

So if you're intending to go fight, please do not do this!!! Build a truck with the intention of working behind the frontline otherwise get the help from those of us who are actually allowing you to fight in the first place by collecting, assembling and transporting!

Locked trucks are a godsend to keep the rabble from stealing it while your supplying the front lines, but at the same time I appreciate the wrench allowing you to move the ones some dummy blocked off the road with.

You can use a wrench to unlock a truck, but unless it's in the way, enemy, or has been abandoned for awhile it's generally frowned upon in the community to unlock it and use it.
