Refine scrap till you have 100 basic material, Run it to a factory and make one. Works better if you have a buddy and you both carry 50 each, That way you are not over emcumbered and dont have to walk at a crawl pace to the nearest town with a factory.

1. go to scrap yard to get scrap (use your hammer)
2. get at least 5 stacks of scrap (will take about 3 minutes)
3. go to manufacturing plant to make your supplies
4. go to the factory to make your truck

there you go, i even NEVER played and i know a lot of knowledge about this game.

The real question is "Do you need one?", especially as you have pointed out "Everyone has one, Jesus". Will another truck really help the war effort? Would your time be better served fighting/building on the front or joining and helping another logistics team? And don't call me Jesus.

If the game has been going for a few hours and you see many parked trucks that are locked then you should build a spanner which unlocks them.

I'm not sure how unlocking the 100's of idle trucks that exist by the 2nd hour of any game is actually hindering the team. The spanner exists for a very good reason.

Well if you see it standing in the same place for the past 30-40 minutes it is most probably abandoned.
But then again there are people who jump betwen doing logi and combat so you cant know for sure :P

I go with the , I don't see your name on it approach and so do the devs. It is a 2 team game not a 40 team game. You can't steal a non used truck. Clearly if a squad is loading then your just being a jackass by taking their truck.

Ignore mellenial self entitled Billy no mates, who think the point of foxhole is to mine massive ammounts of scrap and a truck, driving around aimlessly building random crap and turning the map into a massive walled fortress. That is not a pro game of foxhole and any organised squads will just take it apart. If it has got to that point it must be an amaturish game you got into.

While I do agree with you on certain things I dont agree with you in regards of the building portion, since defences are esential pieces in the game, as they if nothing else slow down the enemys advance thus give you the time needed to react and relocate to it.
To put it in perspective, it takes a squad of 5 men around 30 seconds to destroy a undefended town hall, while that same squad will need 10-20 minutes to clear a path to a townhall if it is decently defended. In that time at least someone from your team would be able to react to it.

"steal trucks", most of the trucks are just sitting here for days and days, until ennemy destroy it or war is over.

When i leave server or go to frontline, i leave my truck unlocked near a road ... and everyone should do it, if there were a few trucks unlocked in each town, people would simply use it for 15 min and left it unlocked somewhere else, with some fuel.

you have people stockpiling tons of useless stuff, and it s never used.
Same for trucks, there are always more on map than needed.
