How does combat work if you can only see a few meters in front of you? I haven't played the game yet.
The game seems pretty interesting to me.
It´s just, i absolutely don´t like to play games only in such a zoom level.
I need to zoom out further for a better overview and usually just zoom further in in close range combat.
The basic idea behund the game really sounds interesting to me, but i need more felxibility in zoom levels.
If there would be a change in the zoom levels (further out and maybe up to further in, too) i would definitely buy this game.
Just my two cents...
Agree. I just got the game and got a feeling of having 'tunnel vision' with this game. you hardly have little idea of what is nearby. Running with rifles FOV is nice I reckon.
there are some players camping at f.e. the bottom left corner of the screen, waiting for someone to run through some narrow map region in the left top of the screen to increase visibility...
such cheese tactics really shouldn´t be necessary, to gain some visibility advantage over ones opponent.
having tanks, only being able to fight each others in about 5-10 meters distance seems "suboptimal" to me.
;-)
i think, being able to zoom out so far to see about the same area as "3 screens of normal zoom" would give this game a much more tactical component.
@ DEVS: how about just giving it a try and see, what people think about it?
The game applies a kind of a fog of war on top of the narrow view so I wonder why this coldn't just be applied and then give people a larger FOV to make it easier to orientate themselves, find their bearing easier. Just a suggestion to the devs...
It´s really no good way to have some gaming advantage by using a larger display.
Devs, please think about it and let players zoom out further, if desired.
It works well IMO, creates tension when under fire, the enemy is in the same situation so its all good.
If you get your hands on Binoculars, that mechanic would be the most probably solution to the issue, just on a smaller scale for weapons.
Thanks for the info.
Well, i watched some more gameplay videos so far and came to the conclusion, this game maybe will never be perfectly my taste.
I´ll keep it on my steam watchlist to have one or two looks at it in the future.
Maybe - one shiny day - there will be some zoom feature implemented...
Who knows...
