Mod support (Re: Music)
Was wondering if there was anyone willing/able to mod the music to the original soundtrack, with the changes in infected districts as well. I could mute the Pathologic 2 music and find copies of the original's soundtrack to play on itunes but having to change songs manually would be a real drag.

I have a sneaking suspicion the lack of motivation I have to pick this one back up compared to the original is that the riffs don't get in my head like the previous soundtrack, and I'd love there to be an official/fan-modded option to play with the Classic HD music.

19 hours in and the only track I remember is the one during the funeral. The subtle ambience of Pathologic 2 is too bland for my liking and blends together too much. The original songs were so good I'd find myself spending more time in infected districts to hear more of them and the different areas of the town had really distinct characters. Crossing a bridge or entering the Termitary would snap me back into focus and help keep me engaged.

Would anyone be willing and able to do this? I have no idea how feasible a task this'd be or even if anyone else wants it.

The soundtrack of Pathologic 1 was good, but it was so clearly computer made, that it didn't really fit for a setting within industrial revolution. In my opinion there's something too "techno" about of it. Pathologic 1 ost would fit better if Pathologic was a cyberpunk game.

Meanwhile the soundtrack of Pathologic 2 is very "steppe", since they used a lot of traditional instruments. It has disturbing songs as well, that reminds me of Silent Hill games.
Those fit for the plague very well, and they sound so sickening and dirty, that they alone make me want to stay out of infected areas.

Pathologic 1 ost is for the jams.
Pathologic 2 ost is for nightmares.

I agree, it did sound weird, and because of that it haunted me. It stuck in my head as I was walking to the shops and made me feel like I had to get back into the game and continue or the town was going to die. I obsessed over the first game like I haven't in a long time. When Pathologic 1 got hard I wanted to keep going and see what was going to happen. When Pathologic 2 is hard I turn it off and nothing draws me back.

My hours played is the most damning thing about it. Yeah it sounds like Silent Hill, it's even good, but I've played Silent Hill. I want Pathologic to sound as unique as the rest of the game is <3
