Special railcars: how to equip.

I've had this game for a week and its a blast. first decent rail tycoon game in a while. I noticed the game allows for adding special railcars onto different trains, but I can't find the menu that lets me add those cars on. in short, How do I add special railcars onto my trains?

First, you need to research them, after that, you just select the train you want the cars on, and next to the tab for employees is a tab to add the cars.
