New Warehouses from 1.5 are still Beta

I kept wondering why my Warehouses were NOT using the version 1.5 improvements, i.e. acting as a Station to collect rural resources, etc, and finally looked at my version number on the starting screen. I was still playing version 1.4!!. I think that I was assuming that since I had the Mexican DLC and could run that DLC, that I also had version 1.5 running. Somehow, I missed the fact that 1.5 is still only a public BETA for RailWay Empire. So I looked under Properties and enabled the Betas and voila! I now have 1.5 running.

Somehow I was NOT reading the entire title line on their pinned message that 1.5 was Beta.

It is always the automatic assumptions that you do not check, that cause the problems you can not figure out what was causing them.

I'm not even sure why some people are on a different version. I assume it depends whether you bought the DLC. Complicates discussions a bit though.

I was not using the Beta for 1.5, which meant that I was using 1.4.

So am I, but I think the new automatied warehouse comes with 1.5. So, I'm assuming I don;t have that functionality yet.

To Didz and others, I had stopped playing RE for 5 or 6 months and was playing other games. Then I resumed playing RE after the Mexiacn DLC and the 1.5 Beta release.

I went into properties and got the 1.5 public beta, love the warehouse improvement - then went and got the DLC - now I have both. Some scenarios don't let the warehouse count as adding a resource to my network so it's still obviously incomplete.

I haven't got the DLC yet, as I still have loads of existing content to complete.

I do not seem to see a lot of people leaving messages. I wonder if a lot of them have moved on to other games. (I did long ago without finishing a lot of the content, but I came back again. I spent a lot of time playing RE during the Beta late last year. This is a common pattern for me, play a game a lot for while, then stop playing without ever getting to the late stages of it, and then come back again 6 months or a year later).

I tend to alternate between RE and Oriental Empires at the minute. So, I've just completed the Automobile Scenario, and may start another OE campaign now. I'm also under pressure to go back and finish my Hearts of Iron Soviet AAR, which I left in suspension.

As far as this forum is concerned I find it actually has more new posts every week than the OE one, even though most new threads seem to repeatedly raise the same old issues.
