Chapter 5 starting guide

The previous chapters were reasonably challeging but now i can't get my income going up in the last chapter.

What was your strategy?

Tried a few times with that one. Not many of the close by resources are needed at the very start until Sacramento grows.

Getting grain as quickly as possible at the start made the difference for me. As soon as poss I took the two closest grain farms to the north (building 2 small stations at each to block competitor). Kept a warehouse full of grain, bought a brewery and grain farm and expanded them as soon as poss.

As soon as the beer started flowing, the cities began to grow and needed all the nearby resources.

Getting Redding to grow is pretty easy. Sacramento however is a bigger challenge.
