How Can You Increase A City's Population?
I'm stuck on a level in Campaign mode where i have to increase the population of 2 city's (Atlanta and Jacksonville) but i can never get the population to grow fast enough. Anyone figure it out? PLEASE TELL!

Throw as many in-demand goods at it as you possibly can. Cities grow when 60+% of their demand for goods is met, and basics such as Corn, Beer, and Meat are always in demand.

My recommendation to you is restart that mission and try to ship the weapons faster. If you get to the Jacksonville and Atlanta objectives quickly enough, the cities will still be above their respective population targets and the objective will instantly complete, leaving you to simply ferry 3000 people between Louisville and Atlanta.

Ok. So how to send the weapons faster then?

Two ways, make sure your train routes are optimized for sending them where they need to go, and produce more of them. You have to buy the initial weapons factory in Louisville, but you might be forgetting you can (and likely should) be upgrading it. Take it up a level or two and it will produce more carloads per week.

Second, when I was doing the mission I was centralizing my weapon storage. I put a warehouse above Memphis and Nashville and did a circular supply route of the supplies that were around there, and had a few trains going from the warehouse back to Louisville, sending weapons and taking back whatever supplies.

Now, when planning out the distribution, you're going to want to make sure you prioritize weapons. If you didn't already know, when setting up a route you can click on a station (there's a notepad icon when you mouse over the station that says Edit Station) where you can prioritize or forbid certain cargos. Click on the weapons icon so it has a green arrow on it to prioritize weapons. Do this on the train from Louisville to the warehouse all the time to make sure you're shipping all the weapons you can to that warehouse.

Then, when you start moving weapons to the other cities, prioritize weapons on shipments going from the warehouse to each city, and once it's hit the target number of weapons, take those same trains and FORBID weapon shipments so you're not wasting them sending them where they won't count.

It takes some micro, but it's quicker that way than just sending them wherever.

Ok. I will try. Practice first then GET-R-DONE! Thanks again.
