What do the train stats mean?
As per title, say you have a train with 4-4-0 stats, what do those numbers mean, can't find it anywhere, thanks for help

It's a notation for writing the number of wheels on an engine. 4-4-0 in this case means 4 leading wheels, 4 driving wheels, and 0 trailing wheels.

Generally this, but I'd look more at the in-game stats of speed, tractive power, etc. I think the leading/driving/trailing wheels are just for flavor/description.

Since driving and trailing wheels have been explained I'll cover leading wheels. Most freight locomotive had 2 leading wheels and passenger locomotives typically had 4 leading wheels. The additional leading wheels on a passenger locomotive helps the locomotive steer into a corner making for a smoother ride. The extra wheels would reduce tractive effort because it reduces the weight on the drivers. This is why freight locomotive would have less leading wheels.
