3.) Manual load/unload for goods horrible
4.) Train Replacement horrible (every train has to replace manuallly)
5.) unrealistic economic system
6.) unrealistic need system for towns/cities
7.) unrelaistic urban development
8.) Simulation Faktor "zero"
9.) Difficulty easy (no brain game)
10.) Target Group of the Game are childrens


If you like to play a good simulation there are many good titles available. For exmaple:

1.) Transport Fever
2.) A-Train
3.) Railroad Tycoon 2

If you like to play a good simulation there are many good titles available. For exmaple:

2.) A-Train
3.) Railroad Tycoon 2

Average metacritic for Transport Fever = 71
Average metacritic for Railway Empire = 75

Railway Empire is much better :)

Obviously this is not your game - I don't think this game was ever meant to be the next Transport Tycoon though. ;)

The question would be: "What do you want to support and for what reason?"
Consistently lowering the bar is not something you should aim for, imo.
Didn't you use the "word" "Trumpian"? I strongly advice against using such a "word", but maybe it would be much more appropriate here.

Having both games I'd say this is a good introduction for these types of games, once you mastered this and getting bored step up the game play to Transport fever

Transport Fever and Railway Empire are different games. TF is more along the lines of Transport Tycoon which lets you build all kinds of transport items, RE follows Railroad Tycoon where railroad infrastructure like maintaince buildings, depots and other buildings come into play along with the stock market.

This game is disappointing if you wanted a heavy sim.

But it really is a good light-medium weight train game with lots of fun if that’s what you are looking for.

I said it was a "good" game, not a "well priced for what you get" game.

At this point, if AI doesn't change, I would personally recommend waiting a year or two, for the Game of the Year (with all DLC) sale at $15.

I'm currently seeking a refund and will wait until then.

I appreciate the Devs going with the Open Beta, so that we could pre-purchase and try it for ourselves without risk.

I will follow thier next game in the hopes they will do the same.

Also, it's been said over and over again that this is not a simulation. It's more in line with Sid Meier's Railway, which I played last week, and completed the first scenario in like 15 minutes. Connect Washington D.C. - Baltimore - NYC, and send 8 passenger cars.

This is not true. You can replace multiple trains at once.
