Are they usefull?
Is it worth to trade capacity for more income per unit? Especially when transporting wares, i feel like capacity/speed is the most important thing and income only secondary.
I can only see me using them if they would be additional instead of a trade.

EDIT:
Just tested it and its not worth it for Express Trains. And i would never ever sacrafice capacity on Supply trains so no need to test that aswell.

1 Train without Crew, SF to LA 8 Wagons of Packages -> 133k
Same train with 7 Wagons of Packages and a the Postwagon -> 140k

Dining car, refrigerator car and mail car give 20% revenue bonus.
So with trading 1 space for the special car you get 5% revenue bonus if you have all the same waggons.
So its worth it if you have specialised trains only transporting mail or passengers or food.

I wonder if these bonuses are "applied" to the goods, if you're sending them to Warehouses. Because if not they sure limit the usefulness.

i think tey are not usefull at this time :( in late game money is not the problem.....
