How TF to kill Heavies?

seriously how and what is the best way to kill those ♥♥♥♥♥?

on Normal. just got stuck at chapter 7 or 8 i think it was, spammed grenades and killed it though. was trying to kill it by shooting the visor but it didnt do anything other than waste my ammo

Heavies are vulnerable to damage to the chest until Chapter 13 where they must have their visors shot out and then killed exclusively via headshots. If they don't have the armoured plate on their chest (not the kevlar, but the same armoured plate the weaker ones have on their backs already) you can damage them via bodyshots. Bring an M1014 to the fight if you can get one in the mission. About 4 near direct hit grenades should also kill them, but don't bother trying flashbangs as those won't work.

Use your grenades (Sticky/Frag) to weaken them and go for headshots until they die

Apart from throwing grenades and going exclusively for head shots, the AI are really effective at killing heavies. Use your MMB and tag the heavy. You have to wait for the heavy to come close though, as the AI will run into the open and stand in front of them if they are too far. That is especially a problem in FUBAR, where the AI cause 9/10 of your losses.

Like the cyberdemon of doom. Don't forget to use sticky grenades on them. Oh and if you can make sand go up with a grenade, you can mess their aiming enough to land more shots on them.
