When i hit the play button nothing appears, it says running for 2 or 3 secs and then it says syncing and then it disappears as well, that's it. nothing comes on the screen, the game won't work. tried verify the integrity thing, tried compatibility options, tried uninstalling but still the same. it used to work on my old hdd, i got this new hdd and reinstalled it and now it won't work.

Just have installed a fresh W-10 yesterday. Runs fine for me. What i ever do after a fresh W-10 installation is to install > DirectX_Jun2010_redist, dxwebsetup and vcredist_x64 <
So the OS can check if some DirectX or C++ 2005 files not installed.

Launch in windowed mode, then change the resolution down to 720 and then enable full screen, you may need to set your desktop resolution to 720 too so that the game will boot. For some reason this game and (if you got them for free through Humble Bundle) The Darkness 2 don't like playing at 1080 through HDMI on Windows 10 which is the default setting they both install at. Once done you can set your desktop back to 1080 and it should work fine.

Right click on the game in your library. Click "Proberties", there you see "Start options" for the game. Write in -windowed that let the game start in windowed mode. When the game runs you can delete it.

run in windows 7 compatability mode.

compatability mode is on as Win7. still nothing. I have been e-mailing with the publisher 2K Games about the issue, and so far they told me compatability mode, update drivers, verify the game cache, reinstall directx. none worked. im sure they'll find a solution, i mean they actually made the game. i'll write it down when i can solve it.

Worked for me exactly as you described with Windows 10 build 1803.
Thank you very much. :47_thumb_up:
