burst renewal it's too simple and too easy, the only advantage on renewal it's the graphics is a slightly better
First and foremost the fact that the missions are too short because there are too little enemies unlike in Estival, where you can experience the combos and ninja arts to its fullest.
Then, there's this skill unlocked with the lvl 3 yang flower (iirc) where in mid air if you press jump button again you do a fell swoop movement which is pretty annoying for me and you can't turn it off unless you don't transform or play frantic.
Also I feel the bosses are way more tanky in BRN, especially in hard mode.
I legit spend like 15-20 minutes in the final battle against Homura (hard mode). And the extra battle against Daidoji was an absolute nightmare even on easy mode.
In a nutshell, Burst Renewal is slightly more polished but Estival Versus is more fun to play imo
