there is notable recovery between attacks and dashes, unlike in SV where you can follow-up different attacks and dashes
how about online matches?
are there players or it is abandoned?
SV
-The gameplay mechanics are noticably more fluid (you can cancel out of just about anything).
-The school's stories are tied to the characters in that school (only Hanzo characters can be used in Hanzo story for example).
-After a short while of beating everything, there's no real replay value (unless of course you want to level up everyone's stats to max).
EV
-Not as fluid, but there's more mechanics (the aforementioned wake-up attacks, also wall recover attacks, wall running, items).
-You can use all characters.
-There's a lot more content overall (especially if you get the extra side story DLC).
There's a guide on steam that helps you attack cancel faster. There's different methods depending on what characters you use.
- Higher production quality overall (Nicer graphics/animations, more variations in cutscenes)
- Even more characters
- Bombshells (Grenade pick-ups in several flavors)
- Wall runs/jumps/attacks
- Creative finishers (Comparable to Mortal Kombat's stage fatalities. They're kinkalities though. ^^)
- AI-Partners in some missions, combined aerial raves
- More variation in the campaign, some exploration
- Transformations and specials are less intrusive, don't break the pace as much as they could in SV.
- Personal preference: I enjoy the music and atmosphere a lot more, but maybe that's just me.
The game is indeed slower, which is weird to get into when you come from Shinovi Versus. There's more recovery time between attacks and there's a dedicated sprint button instead of the characters going at full speed all the time. This makes the game feel less fluent but on the other hand it makes it much more fair. You can recover from attacks instead of being stunlocked into oblivion.
thanks for the replies people :D
I'll just finish the achievemnts on SV and then spring into EV ^^
Hehe, nice! Have fun! :-D
