Also I want AC8 as fast as PA can release. The less compatible plat, the faster release.
Add no achievements at all and ppl won't cheat on the entire game SINCE NOBODY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PLAY. WHAT A COOL IDEA EINSTEIN.
The series have never officially supported FOV slider, nor been needed
People have been cheating in various multiplayer games long before achievements were a concept, let alone before people clued in that they can cheat to get certain achievements.
Some people love watching others suffer so that's one potential ground to use cheats for your own gain (there's PLENTY of other reasons for people who cheat, this is just an example).
Frankly speaking I personally see no worth in cheating whatsoever so I will not try to understand the justification people use for doing so.
But it's pretty clear certain type of people will always find an excuse regardless of the platform.
Stop pretending like consoles are some grand stand that gets no cheaters "because consoles".
That's really not how this works.
The vector is certainly much smaller, but it exists, PoC have been made and proven and as long as there's the slimmest chance SOMEONE will try.
Don't underestimate how pathetic human race can be.
I am somewhat involved in gamedev world and I don't think I have even once in my entire life seen patch notes that are 100% accurate, 100% honest, and blatantly 100% accurate to the most ludicrous smallest detail.
Underreporting, evasion, ignoring details and downright half-a**ed approach are an unofficial standard for patchnotes in gamedev industry.
To begin with there's not much actual end customers number who read the patchnotes, so naturally they tend to be sloppy.
And even with a japanese studio I don't think they are 100% accurate.
Less platforms > less choice > less sales * > less sales' money > less money for DLC work and less financing for future games.
* This part right here should be of concern for you because afaik at this point in time Project Aces are not an independent studio and they also have to satisfy the publisher aside from themselves and their fans.
I get that you have some grand idea how gaming should look like and you passively aggressively bash people who strife from it but more choices is always better.
And as long as even just 1 person demands something then it means at least that 1 person sees a need for it.
Look at it this way:
the moment PS5 gets support for aspect ratios other than 16:9 (here I would like to say that I have not heavily researched PS5 and perhaps it already supports them and I am wrong here) is the moment when devs of ALL games will have to support the option (and thus fov slider) unless they want a public backslash of non-zero size.
edit:
FIXED A BROKEN QUOTE
Lots hated it
PA stopped making drastic changes in gameplay (3D/AHL doesn't count since the whole Maneuver stuff is directly from Innocent Aces)
PA released 7
Lots on PC hated it
Gee what will happen next I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ IDEA
Lots of people on PC also love it (present tense).
It is literally impossible to make a game EVERYONE will "love".
There will ALWAYS be someone to HATE a game.
Gamedev isn't about pleasing EVERYBODY.
This series is rather niche.
First the flight-whatever (arcade, sims, mixed, etc) are already rather niche type of game.
Then THIS series is even more niche.
It's only natural somebody hates it.
It's normal.
WHY should Project Aces feel discovered by it?
They aren't some sort of devs who are new to the industry.
At this point it seems as if you are trying to find any excuse to make the next game not be on PC...
I want it not on PC and this garbage bin of forum is the second biggest reason. The biggest is hackers.
Do you... need attention?
Do you feel desire to show the world how much you hate certain groups of people and how much you are willing to generalize and equate a group to coin them under some umbrella term just to fullfill your desire to hate on them?
Are you here just to try to provoke and bait people into uncostructive conversations that you fill with highly biased speech all while ignoring reality and making up convenient unproven "facts"?
You hate this forum yet you feel the need to be here?
Congratulations, you've played yourself.
IF a game is capable of (either of these):
- calculating it's executable's checksum
- checking for debugging / live-RAM-patching software (example would be Cheat Engine) - this generally requires anti-cheat engine
- checking live runtime RAM values against expected values
then it WILL "know" you changed something REGARDLESS if that "something" affects MP or SP.
Now, for the question of "will it ban me based on that" - frankly - I don't know.
Apply your own judgement.
My advice is for you to only use vanilla files for MP.
Better safe than salty at your own stupidity if s**t hits the fan afterwards ;)
