First of all, you don't have to make a purchase right now. Not only the Passes, but all the DLCs occasionally go on sale. During those times, if you're interested in aviation, you can buy the F-4 Phantom set (it also includes skins for other aircraft).
If you bought this game after watching the Top Gun: Maverick movie, I highly recommend getting the Top Gun: Maverick DLC set — it definitely won't disappoint you.
If you're interested in stealth aircraft and the F-22, you can get the FB-22 Strike Raptor DLC when it's on sale; you don't necessarily have to buy the Experimental Aircraft Series set. However, if both the FB-22 and the F-16XL caught your attention, the smartest option would be to buy the Experimental Aircraft Series set right now.
If you're enjoying the game, you can buy the three DLC missions individually when they go on sale. The Season Pass includes three drone-like aircraft and three additional missions. If you want the extra missions but aren't interested in the drone-like aircraft, you can buy the three DLC missions individually and also buy the Original Aircraft Series set (the three planes in that set are really fun to fly).
If you want to unlock the in-game music player, you must buy the Season Pass.
Also got the F-4E DLC as it was dirt cheap and I had a couple extra bucks.
I'll get the other 3 aircraft sets if I really love the game, on the next sale.
P.S. 90 min. in and it's blowing my mind!
Enjoy
but welcome to the Strangereal fandom, hope you enjoy the first Strangereal game on PC.
