Mission failed after mission accomplished?

Hello!

I love the game, its super neat. so, i beat a mission, super hyped! after so many tries! so happy i see the ending, but, it tell me "mission failed", i did run out of map while watching the scene :(

Is that normal? how cruel is that?

(mission 18, i did kill michaly, end of mission stuff did roll - bang - mission failed, i was out of mission bounds :( . not fair. )

It just is the way it is. When you go out of bounds the game needs to stop you somehow.

cant it just stop your plane when you watch the cutscene? ( ;_;)

why am i punished with a restart of the mission for just watching the end cutscene?

That would look pretty weird to say the least, to just have your plane static in the air. You already beat it once, you can do it again.

right, giving a plane 150+ respawning missiles is not weird at all :S

I usually just set radar range to max and put the plane in a long, lazy bank toward the middle of the map.

I do not recall all to well as I had previously played AC7 on the PS4 but I had also experienced the same problem after successfully completing the last segment of the last mission, Blue Skies or something? I was surprised to find the cameo and well was content to have finally beaten the game on Normal after several trials-and-errors with a couple of the missions espl the last one.

After the cutscene I was let down completely. Too bad I cannot recall if I received the trophy for completing the last mission the first time but I think I did. I had unlocked customization 2 days after the last time.

It's definitely a bug and thought it would have been patched already on PC. It seems the issue will occur varyingly on some PCs.

I'm surprised bc I have yet to complete the last mission. I've been put off to do so while other games or time-limited events have catched my attention.

its a simple solution. move your jet towards the middle of the map.

Or fly upwards towards the middle of the map and then when the cutscene ends ya can go for the most epic open flight box sim dive XD. and max out the speed on your aircraft. And hopefully sometime between those two flight events the final cutscene will occur.

Yeah, you can also fail after the mission accomplished text by crashing. I guess it's just so they can avoid breaking the association between the player and the character--same reason Trigger doesn't talk and never has his face shown.

Both are kinda awkward, but easy enough to avoid when you know to expect them.

It's actually kinda fun to play a mission, then fly straight at the ground to try to time it so the screen fades just when you're about to crash.

This makes you shake your head, because when you shot Mihaly down while ascending, he seems to "break" the altitude cap. I had this occurrence in some of my playthroughs that I can't get a record on it for as many as... Idk, a lot, I suppose. Yeah, silly af, but it doesn't fail your mission; it just throws you back to below the altitude cap.

You should try it if you're lucky enough.

I had this occurrence in some of my playthroughs that I can't get a record on it for as many as... Idk, a lot, I suppose. Yeah, silly af, but it doesn't fail your mission; it just throws you back to below the altitude cap.

You should try it if you're lucky enough.
