How EXACTLY do I enter the Post-Stall state?
I can't count how many tutorials I've followed, and I still can't do it reliably. It only happens about one in 20 attempts, which is of course completely useless because you can't use a manoeuvre in a fight that to all intents and purposes is basically guaranteed not to happen.

What I'm looking for here is every detail of the exact requirements for a post-stall-capable fighter to enter the state: the exact control inputs, the exact timing, everything.

Usually throwing your nose upwards is the best option. NOTE: you must NOT press any buttons when trying to enter psm, as in no keys should be pressed when you press "c".

also you can PSM only in certain craft, mostly high performance ones
The mods like this make every craft able to kulbit at any speed range but your choice

In "Flight System" options set your High-G Turn to "Type A" (acc+dec). If you're on keyboard like me, instead of trying to press both buttons at the same time, it's easier to map the specific "Accelerate+Decelerate" key in options, I found Space to be perfect for me.

Then just follow the YT tutorials - drop down the speed to around 430-430 kph, and simultaneously tap the key while pitching nose up. The maneuver itself is the easy part - the hard part is to utilize it in combat.

The maneuver itself is NOT the easy part. I know I'm using the right planes because about 1 in 20 times they actually do go post-stall.
But in the same plane, at the same moment, after the same checkpoint so it's in exactly the same conditions, and using the same controls that countless written and youtube tutorials have already explained: they just don't post-stall most of the time.

There's some additional factor the tutorials don't say, and that hasn't been said here, that either I'm doing when I shouldn't, or not doing when I should.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Wait... I'm supposed to pull up *immediately after* throttling and braking? Every tutorial I've found said I had to wait until the aircraft entered the state in a straight line before I could maneuver.

I've tested that heavily and it works, so now I'm just baffled that every tutorial google has been able to provide at best described it badly, and at worst lied.

I'm well aware I was doing it wrong, hence I can do it reliably now that I'm doing it differently. The issue is that every tutorial I found before gave different instructions to the ones I received here.
