Transferring save files

I lost my save and tried to transfer another PC save to the save file location, but I receive a message telling me the game is unable to load the save and I'm forced to delete it.

I tried this twice with 2 different PC saves and it didn't work, so does anyone else know how to transfer saves so that you don't have to start over from scratch? Thanks.

Someone said the save files are "encrypted". Does anyone know how to unencrypt them? I've done save transfers with other Bandai Namco game titles and had no problem with it.

Looking forward to it, too. Had completed the game almost entirely back then on my friend's account, I thought I could easily transfer (copy-paste) my save file & continue, but nope, "An error occured while trying to load data".
Sorry to bump such an old thread, but hey - any help is greatly appreciated (despite knowing for a fact that the game save files are encrypted, yes).

hm... is it 2 different accounts of the game?
if it's the same account you should just be able to cloud save and sync it via steam from one pc to any other pc as long as it is the same steam account and same game account

Because this game features online MP, the save file is encrypted with Steam account.
Unless you play p*rate versions on multiple PCs which could share the same Steam Id, you cannot backup/restore save file from different profile.
