i just got the game myself a couple missions into the campaign and its fun but the controls are kinda meh i would say war thunder plays better if that means anything to you for 6$ though id say its worth

i beg of you to get any controller before you dive into multiplayer
if you can't get a controller, buy it directly on steam because you will be asking for a refund within the first two hours on keyboard

multiplayer is "dead" cause its ♥♥♥♥. but theres a heavy modding community on nexus still going so i guess its still alive

Multiplayer's not as active as used to be, but there's still a number of new players joining and honing their skills. I went against a good number of new players myself today.
