Should I buy the Maverick edition? Or wait for Ultimate?

Hi everyone.

So we got a Lunar sale going on, I was wishing to buy the ultimate bundle during the Winter sale and I missed my window, now we have just the Maverick edition bundle on sale with the game.

I would love to hear from fellow players to see if I should just wait for the Ultimate bundle to go back on sale, or would it be fine to buy the Maverick edition as is, and hopefully the Ultimate edition would be 5 or less dollars while having the Maverick bundle.

Just trying to get the best deal here.

Buy the base game and Season Pass, that's all you really need. If you WILL decide to buy maverick stuff, make sure at the least 3 additional missions from Season Pass are included in the bundle, those are the items of actual value as they are really good. And by the love of God-Emperor, don't use superplanes in your first playthrough, stick to the planes that require unlocking through Aircraft Tree.

I don't have the Maverick DLC (yet), it's not really needed to have a good game experience, the planes already exist in the default game through unlocking from enhancements tree. They only have skins and some variations on special weapons that are not so relevant.

The game is pretty short and the multiplayer is dead, so the DLC is pointless.
Just get the base game and the 3 DLC missions if you want.

So with that being said, just how short is it? Hours I mean. Also wondering if game difficulty would add anything like more aircraft to shot down (if any).

Well I'd say 8 to 12 hours depending on the difficulty and how good you are with AC games.
There is no wave mode or anything so once you finish the campaign the only thing you can do is replay the campaign to grind for extra planes.

The game is great, don't get me wrong, but do bear those things in mind when thinking about DLC.
