Can't takeoff / Accelerate in mission 1

Just downloaded the game, started mission 1, pressed RT as instructed, the engine throttles up and after burner ignites, but no movement. the F16 just sits there. even when i switch to B controls or use a keyboard (using an xbox controller normally) the afterburners fire up but nothing.

I've re installed the game, restart the campaign, check drivers and the internet, no one has seemed to run into this problem, they usually have issues with the controller, and when they use keyboard it works fine, but no such luck with me

Hmm... that's not supposed to happen at all.

Since you probably haven't unlock free mission yet, if you try a multiplayer round, will you be able to control your plane?

That's often caused by having extra controllers or joysticks or whatever plugged in.
If you don't have any then you could try verifying game files.
If neither of those work then I have no idea.

Worth trying to drop into a multiplayer match and checking whether the plane behaves at all, i.e., are controls responding in-flight.

Also, *theoretically* it might be a framerate issue, so maybe try checking whether you have some kind of insane framerate like 300 or 400.

I'm also experiencing this problem, I'm playing the game with a joystick, I switched the controls, and the acceleration switched to the other buttons and it worked.
