Anyone else been having trouble on Steam Deck?

Pretty sure this game was running fine for me before the Top Gun update, but now the game will be giving me problems when I try to boot it or I'll get it to run for a minute then it'll make the system crash/shutdown. I even tried verifying, then deleting the game, restarting, and downloading it again. The game simply seems to be problematic with the Steam Deck now.

Is it any better with the new updates? I'm planning to buy it and it says it's "Verified"

So, I saw this thread, installed AC7 to my Steam Deck, and played. Yeah, it works fine. Did a whole mission at like 90 fps. Funny enough, I've been playing lots of Project Wingman on it, even though the menu screen claims it's not compatible with Steam Deck.

Anyway OP, not sure what the issue is. Maybe it's a crummy card you have it installed on? Or thermal issue? Can you get a reading of the temps before it shuts down?

The game worked fine for me the first time I played it, but the second time it made the whole Deck crash and now the device is totally bricked. Won't even charge...

Sounds like you need an RMA, has nothing to do with the game.

Seven hours in the game on my end, all on steamdeck and no issues, was playing last night. Look into maybe verifying file integrity under game options?

So far the game is playing good on my steam deck. Need to get a controller would make it easier to play probably. Waiting for the docking station to release.

I had exactly the same thing happen. Worked great first run, no issues. Now it cashes every time I load the campaign.

Is it just me or is Ace Combat 7 suddenly super slow on the Steam Deck. It used to run at about 80-90-120 fps now it maxes the GPU at 20-30 FPS on the menu and 10 FPS in game although BeamNG a overall more intense game runs smoothly at 50-60 FPS using only 50% GPU and CPU
