he must have meant "Ace Combat Assault Horizon" (on steam) which isnt referered to AC6, i only recall ac6 being on xbox360 which is called "Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation"
either way i recommend the game "Project Wingman" which is a nice indie game with full on ultrawide support (also has VR support as well) it just lacks the cinematic experience that AC7 has.

It even looks almost as if the game was meant to work with UW natively tbh. ^^ You will know what I mean when you start the first mission. In-engine cinematic plays in 16:9, but when you're sat in the cockpit and the screen slides wide open to both sides, almost like an animation is pulling the curtain!!!
In his defense the other guy is like the most spiteful troll in this thread easily. The dude asked a pretty reasonable question and in the 2010s-2020s it's not like its difficult for a dev to include ultrawide support. Nor would it be game breaking in any sense.
This is great to know and if I hadn't refunded the game already I would do this, but I think its pretty reasonable to be upset that the devs didn't include ultrawide to begin with and that the fanbase had to mod it in. The point stands that if your community can mod in support for your game, it should be easy enough for the devs to just patch it in instead, or better yet, include it from the start.
I'm not sure that UW was as present back then as it is now. Was it?
