Is there a Easy Fix to get Ultrawide 21:9 / 3440-x1440 ?

Im not the smartest with modding / changing INI files etc so is there a easier way to get Ultrawide or just give up?
Few places suggest changing this and that which would take me a few hours.

I know the Devs gave up on it but do modders have a simple way or?

Hey man, and to Tommy and others looking for this.

Just follow this instructions (copied from some Reddit post and edited a bit to point you right to the later versions. My comments are after #)
I have installed this one hour ago, on top of a fresh AC7 install, on a 3440x1440 screen and its perfect:

Steps:

1 - backup / duplicate the original "Ace Combat 7" folder

- name original folder to "Ace Combat 7.old" (leave this folder incase you need to restore)

2 - the following Steps will apply to the remaining duplicate folder "Ace Combat 7"

3 - download Steamless v3.1.0.0
# There is a newer version here -> https://github.com/atom0s/Steamless

- unzip and run Steamless.exe on Ace7Game.exe

- rename new unpacked .exe to Ace7Game.exe

4 - download and install Python-3.10.4
# later version here -> https://www.python.org/downloads/
# also, check the box to add python to your path, will will make your live easier.

5 - download 3Dmigoto-1.3.16.zip to "Ace Combat 7" folder (don't unzip)
# later version here -> https://github.com/bo3b/3Dmigoto

6 - download AC7-Ultrawide-Master
# later version here -> https://github.com/mpm11011/ac7-ultrawide

- unzip and copy contents to "Ace Combat 7" folder

7 - double click magic.py.exe

Done, enjoy the UltraWide Resolution mate.

I was so hoping for a nice simple fix to this.
I played this game back on PS4 and loved it. Thought Id try it on PC on my Ultra-wide and with a flight stick.
Sadly this game fails to deliver on both fronts... Very little options to customise controls for the X52 pro... and no ultra-wide support.

I got my UW monitor 2 years ago and was worried about lack of support... but so far its just AC7 and StarCraft II that dont support it. Literally everything else does... even stuff like GTA IV and other much older titles.

Yeah, also hoped this would be addressed from the dev team, but...
Well, this is a quite simple workaround, 4 downloads and some more mouse clicks, but all straightforward. Took less then 5 minutes of my time to do it (plus the time of searching about the solution, which is the more time consuming part and in this case is all already done for you).

UW is still a niche. The norm is 16:9 and will probably be for a long time. Don't automatically expect support for a niche resolution on every game you see.
What's more, most of you sound very entitled. You would receive less backlash if you learned to articulate yourself in a more decent manner and accepted the current situation.

I can understand the frustration of having to tinker around to get it to work in immersive games, but Ace Combat is not exactly what i'd call graphically decent enough to warrant UW. ^^

On the last point: Anything with a cockpit looks extra immersive on an UW imho. Racing game usually, but I guess the cockpit view in any kind of spacesim or flightsim, too. 3rd person not so much, I mean it doesn't play worse, just not to the strengths of UW. ^^

Yeah, I share your opinion, same goes for track IR support.

Just refund the game. It's a good game but the monitor support is rubbish. I refunded it when it didn't work properly on my 16:10 screen (slightly taller), now the same issue with ultrawide. It's a great game at 16:9 but why bother supporting a game which doesn't support modern resolutions.

Can't get the fov CE tables to work but the extra viewing on the sides is still much better with UW.

Thank you. Luckily I finished it when I had a 16:9 monitor. I've just got that stupidly long flying achievement left to do ha.... I've installed it on the steam deck for that, hopefully it works on there.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but I was looking into widescreen support for Ace Combat 7 for PC, and it seems that this game is a downgrade from the previous version. I was able to play triple 4k on my rig a few years back when 4k monitors just started hitting the shelf. Feels really lazy of the developers.
