Does this mean that people are going to stop complaining?

Probably not. So many people bought new joysticks for a game that we were either told or assumed would have flightstick support, and it still doesn't support 90% of the market. Expect to continue to see people complain, as they kind of have a right to do.

There is also no support for xbox 360 controller rebinding or binding yaw to the mouse instead of roll.

I'm pretty sure most people didn't buy a new flight stick for this game, that's exactly one of the things they were upset about since it would be really absurd.

The real question now is just how many people will actually hear of that and play the game they refused to before because muh flight stick.

A couple summers ago I made Ace Combat 04 work with joystick on PC. Thus, I'm almost certain it's possible to make Ace 7 work, starting with Steam's own controller configuration tool and maybe using software like JoyToKey to fill any gaps or fine tune things.

You have to be warned though, it's not going to turn out like you want. It's not so simple that Ace Combat is not a simulator, and flight sticks are only meant for simulators, or whatever that argument is. It's honestly more about how the game was designed to be played. There is a ton of tweaking necessary to get something "playable" and even "playable" is a stretch.

Like I said, I've done this myself with a game in the series, and I went into it with much lower expectations than I think a lot of people who ask this question will go into it with, because I understood from the start that it would be goofy and just wanted to see what I could come up with. I was still disappointed with the results.

It was a marketing mistake for them to try and sell a T.Flight Hotas X with Ace Combat logo on it... I think most fans of the series understand that Ace Combat will not transfer over to that kind of control system. But it's hard to tell a person who bought that product that implies it is designed to work with this game, that it will not really, properly work with this game.
In path notes is nothing about additional joystick support, so i am still little skeptical.
Another thing if it's true, how it is implemented. Without the possibility of setting the dead zone and the sensitivity of individual axes, without the analog yaw, that will be still not good.

There are official statements about that. It's true.
"The following is a list of Thrustmaster accessories which now feature plug-and-play compatibility (presets and mapping included ) with the PC version of the game ACE COMBAT™ 7:SKIES UNKNOWN."

I am confused. It is full out alredy or not? I tried to use t1600TFC HOTAS and it work some way in the game , however i didn't see any option to set up buttons. The preset is not so bad, but i want to do some change.

I've said it somewhere else, but my X56 works with the game, although the input map is a little weird in places.

Yes the preset is not good on T16000M too, however in file
c:\Users\username\AppData\Local\BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment\ACE COMBAT 7\Config\Input.ini you can overwrite buttons numbers as you need.
so... they double down on the Thrustmaster Exlusive deal... hmm... well at least they support the full lineup now. It's something... not that it matters to my Saitek X-55 who will stay in the shelf until Star Citizen needs it.

But seriously, its a WEIRD thing to do an exclusivity deal with an input device manufacturer that locks out other input devices that people already own. Letting them sell game branded devices is one thing, but not just having a simple keybind menu where i can just setup ANY custom joystick and button layout, nobody needs plug and play functionality with presets for every last joystick, but the ability to have custom keybinds means everything is supported and it would be less effort for them as well.

But i get it, MONEY...

It's a massive middle finger to the customer it says, either buy the sh*t from THIS company or don't play with a joystick. Using any other joystick is made (almost) impossible as the key rebinding system won't accept ANY other joystick device besides thrustmasters sticks, keyboard and mouse and xbox/ps4 controllers. In order to get any other flight stick working you have to fool the game into thinking it's a 'supported' stick or an xbox controller. most exclusivity deals on PC only result in branded merch and themed input devices NOT a complete restriction of devices. Imagine the outrage if an FPS restricted the kind of mouse you could use to a SINGLE brand and then went 'don't like it use a controller' PC gaming is about freedom of inputs and customisation a concept bandi has FAILED to grasp by making one set of sticks plug and play whilst others are 404 device invalid. Until universal stick support is added (which is as simple as making the game recognise non-thrustmaster sticks and allowing the user to bind the controls the old fashioned way) I will not be purchasing any DLC.
