There is also no support for xbox 360 controller rebinding or binding yaw to the mouse instead of roll.
The real question now is just how many people will actually hear of that and play the game they refused to before because muh flight stick.
You have to be warned though, it's not going to turn out like you want. It's not so simple that Ace Combat is not a simulator, and flight sticks are only meant for simulators, or whatever that argument is. It's honestly more about how the game was designed to be played. There is a ton of tweaking necessary to get something "playable" and even "playable" is a stretch.
Like I said, I've done this myself with a game in the series, and I went into it with much lower expectations than I think a lot of people who ask this question will go into it with, because I understood from the start that it would be goofy and just wanted to see what I could come up with. I was still disappointed with the results.
It was a marketing mistake for them to try and sell a T.Flight Hotas X with Ace Combat logo on it... I think most fans of the series understand that Ace Combat will not transfer over to that kind of control system. But it's hard to tell a person who bought that product that implies it is designed to work with this game, that it will not really, properly work with this game.
Another thing if it's true, how it is implemented. Without the possibility of setting the dead zone and the sensitivity of individual axes, without the analog yaw, that will be still not good.
I am confused. It is full out alredy or not? I tried to use t1600TFC HOTAS and it work some way in the game , however i didn't see any option to set up buttons. The preset is not so bad, but i want to do some change.
I've said it somewhere else, but my X56 works with the game, although the input map is a little weird in places.
Yes the preset is not good on T16000M too, however in file
c:\Users\username\AppData\Local\BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment\ACE COMBAT 7\Config\Input.ini you can overwrite buttons numbers as you need.
But seriously, its a WEIRD thing to do an exclusivity deal with an input device manufacturer that locks out other input devices that people already own. Letting them sell game branded devices is one thing, but not just having a simple keybind menu where i can just setup ANY custom joystick and button layout, nobody needs plug and play functionality with presets for every last joystick, but the ability to have custom keybinds means everything is supported and it would be less effort for them as well.
But i get it, MONEY...
