20-30% actually sounds pretty solid for a series that just a few installments ago was a PS exclusive.

If we assume PC had 16% of sales that's 500000 copies. If we assume people waited for sales or were from poor regions so the average price paid was $20 that's $10 million. Even after they pay various other companies their cut that's still going to be a good amount of money for Bandai Namco. Easily enough to make porting to PC worth it since UE makes porting simple. So we should be good when it comes to a potential AC8 port.

3 million copies is a very good number for a Japanese game. Their development costs are lower than those made by AAA companies in the West. AC7 can be easily considered a success for Bamco.

By the way, they announced a long time ago PC outsold the Xbox.

Agreed. Releasing Ace Combat games on PC is already grateful enough for me. If not, the only thing I'd enjoy now is the Assault Horizon or this one for the rest of my life.
