Aircraft Tree Reset Option (TLDR maybe?)

Hi, this definitely has been discussed many time before. But with the upcoming update which has new easier difficulty. I wish the devs would provide the option to reset the aircraft tree and credits back to zero and all aircraft locked. 'Without resetting the medals". And you also keep the special skins.

Now , i know there's a way for this like deleting the savegames and all but bare with me.
Part of enjoying the same game many times over is because of the journey towards the end.After getting all the medals, S ranked everything. There comes a time where you want to enjoy the game back from zero without having two minds while at that. Means you don't have to be alert or do specific things to make a special aircraft to spawn. Just play the objectives how you like it. I even wish the devs would provide a no timer option so i can take and enjoy my time. You know like playing rpg.

I said this because I've played linear games (not open world) which have collectibles in them. Good stories, but when you start picking up collectibles, you start to lose the momentum from enjoying the stories or in game banter. Kinda loose focus i might say.

Maybe its part of my ocd kicking in while playing, but yeah i tried the delete saves method, but even on a new save / play through, I just can't help myself, knowing that i've yet S ranked this mission, haven't yet unlock the skin for this mission, speedrun this mission for you know. Next thing i know i'm back doing all this thing without mostly enjoying the storyline and the gameplay.

For now, all the reason you replay the game over and over will be for medals and skins.

This is my opinion or ramblings if you want to call it. But yeah long time fan. Started at ps2 AC5, stuck,then went for AC 4, AC 6 , ACAA( Bleeerghh!!). Anyways, Love AC7. Thank You PROJECT ACES.

I'll never understand this point. Why don't you simply select aircraft and parts that would fit that specific early moment of the game manually? Why do you need to reset the tree instead of simply being free to do whatever you want? You're not forced to use your X-02 on mission 01, you know?

And you wanna reset the tree because there will be an even easier mode? What?

What if I told you that you actually can do that already? You're not forced to spawn aces or anything, especially in a scenario where you ALREADY have the skins and medals precisely because you didn't delete your save, allowing you to play the game in any possible way you wish.

Several RPGs out there have timers in them, maybe not like a timed mission like in this game but they definitely have timed events and limited time to do certain things in them, which often are no longer available for the rest of the game if you miss the chance to do them. Personally I think removing time from missions would make them absurdly boring. I know some of you like to watch the plane doing things at turtle pace but to me that's like roleplaying which I find quite pointless.

Same thing with skins, they are useless to me in single player. To me skins are something you show off after doing something difficult, that may sound vain but it's not really different than admiring your own plane in single player, like looking at a mirror.

Thats just it, i'm playing like i'm roleplaying. I mean we enjoy things differently. Also there's this gamer OCD thingy in my head.

Like i said always love the journey towards the end.Not the end. So i enjoy the hardship of unlocking things, buying upgrades and all. You know like roleplaying. And while at that since i;ve completed everything , would love another fresh playthrough without worrying too much on the hidden things or the constrains. Fetish maybe, but its there at the back of my head.

I would've prefer instead of getting the easier mode, we would get aircraft tree reset.But keep the unlockables. No timer and all. Again we enjoy things differently. What you are implying is having a train of thought thing. I can understand that.

Free Flight already in the game after completed the missions. I mean no enemy just fly for practices maybe. Newer update will add 3 more aircraft from previous game, along with journalist difficulty option.

That's a dumb response. Some people actually like being able to start over with a fresh saved game in fact it was one of my favorite things to do back when I played the ♥♥♥♥ out of Ace Combat 04 from 2001 to 2015. If you don't get it than you never will.

You can make the game look exactly like a fresh start if you want, what is "dumb" about that exactly? You gonna have to work a lot harder than simply "you don't get it".

I'd love to start a new game like literally my first time in diving into it. However, Idk why this game removes the capability of starting a new game from scratch, and even buy/sell planes that you may found not in use. Y'know, since 6. A bit unpleasing, but I don't complain as much as you, Iffy.

I don't blame over it; it's how the devs design nowadays, but Idk. Pick any plane you want and go. Simple as that. No restrictions on this game, anyway. You want to stick to lore? Be my guest. Fly using DLC planes you bought earlier at the fresh start? Be my guest. Unlock all ♥♥♥♥♥ and use it to take out someone who ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you over on multiplayer? Be my guest.

Besides, it's unfortunate that you can't "sell planes then buy it later on when needed" in this game. Having a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money to purchase planes after repeated gameplay is like... "what am I gonna purchase with all these money after I bought all of these?" logic.

Like i said, I'm playing like i'm treating this game an RPG. 1st playthrough, in for the story with some unlockables along the way. 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th , in for the hiddens, secrets, ranks.( not really an enjoyment part actually as I play for specific target or objective. Now what what I'm wishing is the final play through where every medals, skins intact. Only reset the tree and zero credits. Now i can enjoy the game without worrying " uh this mission got Ace in it have to play specific to get him to spawn". Also the joy of being able to purchase/unlock new aircraft again.
Weird but this is me.

Felt empty when finished everything in the witcher 3 last time. The same feeling after got way much credit after all plane unlocked.

Well, the only thing in mind that I rack up gameplay hours in this game is no other than skin mods. To me, having them installed is like having replayability to me. And this is the only one that I put my absurdity on. Old games that're similar like this? Idk.

Well being able to mod also a plus to replay value. You're not wrong on that.Bought Ac7 on ps4 for the sake of owning the Ac5, didn't actually finish the game there , when pc ver. came out , that's where the fun begins.

I find this option helpful. In my case, I just started playing the game and I didn't know what aircrafts are good and what parts are best and so on. So I spent a lot of OPs to the parts and planes that I find useless now. That's why I would be happy if there was an option to sell the crappy things back and buy something better instead.

This option would be kinda weird to work with since there are achievements tied to obtaining aircrafts and parts.

I do miss the selling the older jet just to buy something better aspect though but if you're skilled enough, any jet is good.
