Mission 8 is one of the worst AC missions ever.

I finished the game on PS4 and loved it so i got it again in the sale and for some reason i had totally forgotten about Mission 8 - Pipeline destruction.

What a ♥♥♥♥ show, flying through a sandstorm so you can't see anything, constantly losing lock on the trucks, the wind makes it hard to fly in a straight line and to top it all off UAV's are shooting at you.

It's easier to fly towards the trucks while above the sandstorm, then dive in to take them out.

Nope not at all i love the AC series, just saying this is a bad mission.

With the exception of that convoy in a canyon lol. I dove right into the top of the canyon because the sandstorm's bottom layer was so close it was hard to see. Didn't even know what I hit since I did not even see the ground. It was only until a checkpoint restart and flying low to the target before I realized that there was a canyon there.

If you keep low, most of the UAVs would go harass your squadron mates and not disturb you too much.

Plus, sand cloud won't interrupt locking unlike actual cloud does. Long-ranged air-to-surface missiles are still effective even when the lock is apparently gone.

I like how I ask you to give us an example of a "good mission" but you simply ignore it.

I always enjoyed that one. It's pretty straight forward, but still a bit of a challenge due to the time limit on phase one. While phase two is again straight forward. Find them on the radar, take out a few groups, wipe out the drones, then jump on the last of the trucks. Don't worry about altitude, it doesn't really mean much. Instead set your radar to full zoomed, and make a mental note of where they all are. You'll spot them pretty easily once you get close. As for the pushing around, idk, never bothered me. All I can say is you need to hop in to the rocky canyon mission, and learn to love those jet streams.

had troubles with this one, because i was stuck using one of my fav planes, the F-4E Phantom, decided to take a breather, and the next day decided to play some matches online, get some points, and buy the A-10 fully loaded, used the 4 targets air to ground missile fully loaded, and was done in my second try, first try the drones took me out, freaking things, then celebrated like a maniac, after finally completing the damm mission, frakking 20 trucks.

The first half of Mission 9 is worse. Mission 8 is one if the best actually.

The mission is fine unless it's in Ace difficulty. The margin from missile coming is ridiculously short in Ace, unbeatable without high-tier craft or upgrade parts imo.

Can't remember what plane I used in my very first playthrough, but at least I still made it first try.

And this game is my very first from the entire franchise. Today I tend to use the any plane with LASM, but still struggle here and there with the mission.
