It would explain why Mobius 1 was absent in the Lighthouse War if Mihaly had shot him down at some point. Mobius 1 was serving in IUN, we know that because of VR missions/Free Erusea Force's second uprising. He could have ended the war without Trigger, destroying all Erusean force AGAIN if he were still in IUN, 2019.
My only theory right now is that, Mr X shot them all down.
But then I wonder what the connection is between Mr X and Yellow 13.
He did not because he stopped fighting in 1991 and had no reason to shoot them down. He's talking about other aces from the wars he took part in.
As far as shooting down aces from previous games he most likely did not. As stated in the cut scene after mission 3 " He saw combat for the first time in 28 years". That puts it in 1991. The first Continental War (AC04) was from August 2003 - September 2005, 12 years after he moved to being a test pilot.
Its doubtful that he would be a part of the Free Erusia movement (2006 AC5 and 2014 AC7 VR) because he's from The Grand Duchy of Shilage. A kingdon that got annexed by Erusia and when given the chance it broke away near the end of the game. When it was annexed Mihaly didn't fight it but accepted it and enlisted in the Erusian military. When they lost in AC04 he would have accepted that also and found his place in the new government like before.
Mobius 1 probably retired.
As for the Razgriz, what reason would he have to hunt them down? They fought against Yuktobania not Erusia. There is an anti-war sentiment from the characters of AC5 with in mission dialoge stating they were going tired of the war and the killing. After the war they probably went back to civilian lives.
Or the Osean military had them taken out. Just look at what they tried to do to Trigger in the DLC missions.
Except Nagase, she's on the spaceship that docks with the space elevator at the end of the game.
The "Aces At War: A History 2019" has a short story that implied that Mihaly trained Yellow 13.

Or more simply, vengeance should be a good reason, like "Hello, my name is Mihaly Archange Shilage. You killed my best apprentice, prepare to die." Mihaly was the literal berserker on fighter jet. But at least he took care of his squad members, why not his pupil too?
No offence, this is equally canon. Yet then I prefer expecting something more dramatic.
What is indeed canon is that Mihaly had the same ability level Yellow 13 had while he was training him (From Aces At War: A History 2019). Since Mobius 1 shot down Yellow 13 and Mihaly got older, I don't see how he could have shot down Mobius 1 now.
Mobius is in the VR missions because it's a huge nostalgia bomb for fans, don't forget this game is the "return" of ace combat as a whole. You guys shouldn't think too hard on it.
Razgriz being retired as fighter pilots makes a lot of sense because the game was all about "war bad pls stop". Of course there will never be a full disclosure about that, things simply don't work that way in such a franchise. Nagase appearing in the last mission is also mostly fan service just like being able to play as Mobius in VR, because her very existence there is absolutely irrelevant whatsoever.
I understand, nobody likes to see a hero fade away into obscurity. I would also like to know what happened to PA's favorite character. Mobius 1 would have been flying for 15 years at the start of AC7. With Mihaly still flying into his 60's(?) I don't see why Mobius couldn't be flying at the age of 35 (give or take)
Maybe we'll find out in AC8 with another mini campaign like AC5/7. Until then its fun consider the "reasonable" in game possibilities.
