I have a CH Products stick and it didn't feel twitchy (no more than anything else I've played with it).
My stick works without any issues, I'm just finding it an annoyance that the prompts don't match on screen. I had this problem with Dark Souls back when it first released for PC as well but there were mods available to fix it. The twitchiness could be a Ace Combat 7 thing and if I just have to get used to it then fair enough. But it just feels a bit strange and trying to aim with the machine guns feels borderline impossible.
Yeah I use expert. I'd have to kick myself if I bought a stick for normal controls lol. But you're probably right, it might just be a case of practicing. Even so, a few more fine tuning options would have been nice.
