SU-57 for PLS
Best boys are still the fishbed and F-15C
pros: useful SPs (QAAM and XSDB), better stability
con: a bit less agile compared to other two
Su-57
pros: PLSL (OP especially in Singleplayer), better maneuverbility including full PSM
con: a bit larger hitbox
YF-23
pros: two effective A2A SPs loadable (especially HVAA), higher agility
con: no PSM capability
Fast planes with good acceleration
Excellent overall maneuverability
Cons for both:
High Cost, you'll never see these outside of unlimited by sane players.
F-22 -
Pros:
QAAM Boat build
Extremely stable
PSMs carry energy better than Su-57
Smaller profile
Cons:
Doesn't turn nearly as hard
More easily hit by missiles
Less energy management is needed
Top speed turn radius is worse than Su-57
Su-57 -
Pros:
PLSL shreds everything
Turns harder than almost everything else in the game
Missiles don't suffer from bay lag
Extremely good Top Speed
Cons:
Extremely unstable close to stall speeds
Often overshoots gun angles
Requires more precision than everything other than superplanes
Conclusion:
Are you good at ace combat and understand the mechanics at a deep level?
Su-57
Are you not?
F-22
Singleplayer: Su-57
SFFS plus missiles can kill the same amount of targets per pass, potentially more depending on targets, as the PLSL can.
