Mission 6 is f4king impossible
How the hell are you even supposed to do it. I tried with Thunderbolt, since theres so many ground-targets I figured the 4-target ground missile would work. Nope, when those reinforcements appear at the end you cant do ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Like 5 missiles on your tail constantly. And there's not enough time to get 17 000 points.

Impossible. Any tips? Or just load up cheat engine to brute force this BS mission.

Also why do enemies constantly outrange you with their missiles? The only useful missile in the game is the Super Long Range one with 10km range. Everything else is like 2km range which is ridiculous. Enemy missiles have 4-5km range.

So stupid.

Also why are your teammates so completely useless? I watched TEN allied fighters trying to kill one stupid drone. They couldnt do it.

And when you turn up to a big fight, every enemy fighter instantly targets you. Its complete BS.

The first base you hit, make sure to take out all the bombers on the runway, they're worth a lot of points each. Aerial targets are usually worth more points than ground ones, so make sure to clean up as many helicopters as you can, they're all sitting ducks. Don't be too bothered about cleaning every ground target out of an area.

If you go left, that first base has bombers, your ground missiles don't work on them so be prepared to use your regular missiles. 2 shot them and try to get some machine gun hits and it will take one strafe on each one. Focus on the ground planes first and them use the machine guns on the oil tankers, if you're good enough you can do that too in one strafe.

Ground missiles all the targets on that base and the base that's also to the right from the beginning, at 5 minutes go back to base restock and go up north for that base and hit as much as you can. You can do this without going for the reinforcements but getting a couple helps. Helicopters are easy too.

first and formost ugb's are your friends, use them on ground targets and landed planes (they don't discriminate).

- ONLY go after air targets if they pester you and are close to you. Do not deliberately go after air targets only.
---> clear one base then move on.
--- the drones are a distraction, they are hard to hit and only worth 350 (I almost always have 1500+ by the time they show up). So only target them if they are annoying you with missiles.
- go to the airfield to your left first The mop up until you to the canyon base to your right.

The best weapon on that level is the UGB.
-4AAM (XAAMs) do okay.
--- everything else is pretty much a waste as they don't kill effeciently enough. 4agms are only good for scattered ground targets. Sometimes there are clusters of planes and helicopters you can bomb.

*set ups I like to use*

F-4E- UGB
Mig-21- MGP (very good against drones and planes up close as the a quick burst will kill them quick)
A-10- UGB
Anything - (X)AAM where X is a number .

You need to git gud. :P
Jokes aside, if you find m06 impossible, you are probably thrilled to hear that there are 3 more where you have a mix of timelimit, required score, hefty amount of ground targets and even more flying (and incredibly annoying) enemies. And they are far harder.
If you are more of a "lemme see" guy than someone that goes by the letter ;), if you want I can post you a video example on YT with whatever you have unlocked by now.

first take the air to surface missle to destroy as many as you can from the ground targets the go back to your base and get the multi lock-on air missle and focus your attack the new airplans it wiill give ou 400 point on each one am reached 18k with this plan
dorf Feb 15, 2019 @ 11:56am
  1. use A-10 for its tankiness and high missile/bomb capacity
  2. keep alternating bombs and missiles to take out the first base, if you're fast you can bomb the second pair of fighter jets and slow down enough to bomb the bombers before takeoff
  3. follow the direction those trucks were going, dropping bombs on stuff on the way
  4. at the second base, bomb large clusters and missile isolated targets until most things are dead
  5. head to the third base, after some practice you might have as much as 8 minutes left
  6. bomb the ♥♥♥♥ out of clusters of enemies, its by far the most target rich of the three
  7. once you reach your target score, fly as fast as you can in laps around the edge of the map

Your gun fires far beyond "gun range", line up a bunch of targets and use it in tandem with your regular weapons to destroy more stuff in less time.

Stick with it that mission teaches you a great deal. I would suggest going with another plane as the a-10 is too slow in a game against the clock. Good tactic is go for left base then furthest base away from return line after that.

I beat it with the A-10. I'm playing on Normal. I picked the 4ATG missiles, cleared the nearest base first, then cleared the second nearest, went for resupply and managed to beat the mission by kiting the reinforcement drones and not even bothering to try to fight them.

Its pretty funny though, as soon as the mob spawn they all immediatly start gunning for me, ignoring all my allies (who are completely useless)

Unfortunately, the "magic"/thrill of the Ace Combat series. It's *always* up to Scarface 1 / Mobius 1 / Razgriz 1 / Galm 1 / Garuda 1 (well, without Allied Attack) / Spare 15 to take out everything and save the day. Even more so in this mission because of you being in a penal squadron. (Plus I think in this mission, most of your squadron is scripted to retreat like cowards?)

Back on-topic, I did this *S-rank on my 2nd playthrough*, on Ace difficulty with the F-35 (it has 8AGM). I went for the airbase, then the farthest base from the return line, went back for a resupply, then took out the nearest base. Then standard missiles on drones (although I didn't take all of them out). Had I more time, I could've resupplied with 4AAM.

On my 1st playthrough, I got a B-rank, with the F/A-18. Same strategy, airbase, farthest base, resupply, then nearest base. Although it was painful to do with the LASM. Try putting on speed upgrades with the A-10 and the 4AGM

My very first playthrough on hard I used the F-4 with UGB, You basically wanna ignore the drones, you'll burn through your AGMs to fast to be worth taking them so use UGB like others have said. I personally would just strafe the first base and work backwards so you are closer to re-arm when neccesary. This mission becomes cheese even on Ace with the F-22 and its XDSBs
