2. PA HAD CONSIDERED implementing AI units on Multiplayer and things hadn't gone well because of the difference of engine, according to Ace Combat Fan having an interview with Kono.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwrnCYjPUPs
3. You could demand the refund as soon as you noticed the MP was crap.
Also the different engine probably required them to relearn how to do stuff from scratch.
The game overall is remarkably similar to Ace Combat 4 feature and gameplay-wise, probably given the above issues and that a decade had passed since the last one they decided that going back to basic was the least problematic decision. Especially considering that other than 6 the only other recent game in the series was the much loathed Assault Horizon that tried to make the gameplay even more arcade than it already is so going back to basics was the safest option in light of that.
but lets blame the devs.
I'm not here to change your opinion, I'm just pointing out how silly your points look like. I seriously hope with all my heart that you don't buy the next game, no kidding.
I agree that the AI is bad, I always say that, but the AI has ALWAYS been bad. Every single enemy in any ace combat game behaves like an idiot or is protected by artificial armor. And do you know why it has to be that away? Because the vast majority of players are unskilled casuals, this isn't Bloodborne, Dark Souls or Sekiro.
I also wish we had more control over the battlefield. Too bad the wingmen mechanic was in practice freaking useless since, guess what, the AI was bad!
Cover me? Well too bad you guys move so slowly that you're always far behind.
Attack? You mean to attack the enemies IN FRONT OF ME? When your bad AI and crappy values can bring down an enemy every 5 minutes? Hahaha. Yeah sure, I'll just stare at the targets instead of taking them down myself.
Spread? Have fun as they down 2 targets the entire mission.
Use SP weapon? As if it would make any difference, lol.
In the end, the wingmen mechanic was just a roleplaying factor and if you need roleplay in your game then, well, just use your imagination.
Now that begs the question: What good AI? Please cite an example of a proper AI behavior that was also challenging and fun. We'll be waiting.
Again, not here to change your mind, you're quite narcissist to think like that, huh? No one is here to serve you or help you or convince you. Besides, I've been active here from the start, after a while it gets tiresome to have the same old discussions with the new uninformed people which you clearly seem to be one of, since you consider the whole development of the game, which was almost axed by Namco as "laziness lol".
And there it is again: "I hate it, but will buy again" Lmao, you guys are the best costumers any developer could ever wish for! Imagine if Ace Combat had some kind of gacha element to it, you guys would have such great whale potential. This is exactly why I told you to not support their bad product in the future, it's only logical... well, at least it should be. Also, let's keep waiting for the great examples the HOLY TRINITY has to offer us that clearly show how much of a better game they were. Can't wait to hear about how your useless wingmen were awesome and Pixy was a monster of an ally and every boss was not just protected by plot armor or anything like that or how those games had all your favorite planes and weaponry.
Trying to see where is the argument here but I can't.
