- Fake Air Base
- Bombers
- useless allies
- Missile spam
This is, what, mission 4? 5? Boy you're gonna have a bad time in this game.
Still, there isn't much we can do to help you, other than give you some hints on the obvious things.
- For starters, missiles don't exactly have the greatest homing abilities. A single high G turn - usually even a regular turn - can shake them off. Missiles coming at you from the side will pretty much miss by default.
- Ignore fighters. They're literally just there to farm score.
- Bombers spawn at set locations. Zoom out your radar and you'll see them before you even get the order to attack them.
- 2 missiles usually do the trick. Attack them head-on or from behind. If you fire at them from the side the missiles will miss guaranteed.
- Use flares if you have to.
- You can take a hit. It takes at least 3-4 missiles to kill you. Unlike what some people would tell you, this isn't a simulator.
Also, get used to not having backup. Allies in this game are background decoration that occasionally kill steal a ground target, nothing more.
But I'd like a mod which lets me mofidy the bad damage reduction your allies have.
Thrustmaster DOES have insturctioins on their website.
Even in a game like Freespace which has arguably better allies there are still memes about Alpha One (the player avatar) doing basically everything.
I'm totally confused at people struggling with Mission 5. So straight forward that nobody can mess up, right?
