4k Question
So as I understand from reading the Forums, 4K and 2K are not supported, only option is 1080p for max resolution. Is there any work around to play in 4k or 2k? I would like to experience the stunning visuals in 4k like I would on a PS4 Pro or XBox One S.

I remember someone mentioning that you can change this in the config file. the official ace combat twitter said to change your desktop resolution to 4k if you don't want to

If by 2k you mean 1440p then it's working fine for me. That's my monitors native res so it was selectable from the options menu. By default, the game did boot at 1080p though.

Interesting. And yes, 2k meaning 2560 x 1440, 4k meaning 3840 x 2160. That is good to know. I haven't had time to play yet. Was a little discouraged by some of the forums I read. Thanks for the input.

You can totally play in 4k.
Two options to make it work:
a) Set game to fullscreen, quit game, restart game, can now choose 3840x2160
b) go to app settings folder and change the config ini file, where it lists resolution change the numbers to 3840 and 2160 respectively.

The math doesn't add up, 4K UHD is 4K because its width is 3840 pixels, around 4000 pixels (Actually, real DCI 4K is 4096 × 2160, 3840 × 2160 is UHD, but 4K stuck on that one too)

2 is half of 4 so the width has to be the half of that, right? 2K is fullHD and not 1440p, but fullHD already got a name thats why nobody uses 2K.

This guy explains it in more detail
