YF-23 doesn't have as many weapon capabilities as the F-22, but in real life it's stealthier and faster. F-22 looks better tho. I can see the argument on both sides

Also, during the testing when they made the detemination to use the F-22, they filched the avionics and radar suites planned for the YF-23 to shove in the F-22.

The entire IRL debate came down to lockheed-martin shoving more money in via 'lobbying' and 'donations' to buy an edge.
The YF-23, much like the F-20, got screwed because somebody else murdered it before it got a chance.
With the YF-23 it was shady money, with the F-20 it was the sudden decision to make official military aircraft exportable, resulting in foreign nations taking the F-16 over the F-20 which was equal or better in basically every way at the time. That and the air force actively trying to sack it in favor of their choice of f-16.
I also love that the crashes of the F-20 basically came down to 'turned so good our pilot couldn't handle it and G-LOCed'.

Can you tell I like Northrop-Grumman better than I do Lockheed-Martin? I also like Mcdonnel-Douglas more than Lockheed-Martin.

The Navy placed the deciding vote for the F-22. the yf-23 was too big to land on a carrier, and they wanted a chance at a navalized ATF. Of course the Navy was eventually forced to buy the F-35 instead, which they are still pissed about to this day.

My favs are the Su-32 Flanker, Mig 29 Fulcrum and of course the Raptor. I never messed with the YF-23 seeing as how its sort of the prototype that turned INTO the F-22 anyway so yeah.
