Game Will Not Launch
What the f^^^ is wrong with non-American/Western European game developers. Every games I played not developed by NA/WE requires freaking jumping through hoops to try to even make the game launch. I try everything I can do on my own and nothing. There is also nothing by the devs to solve this issue.

Assume you guys tried restarting the computer? Know I had to for other issues (1080 not available first play, black screen if I try to play on laptop after hibernation/sleep).

I had the same problem on launch day. Turned out to be my firewall. No warning or anything. I just exhausted all my options so I figured I'd give it a go. No other game causes that problem, but whatevs. I added an exception in firewall and antivirus and like magic it started. Don't know if that will help though.

Fix it, had to restart my PC twice after re-downloading it.

This was a bit crazy for me. After installing, I started Ace Combat. It installed the VC++ redistributable packages, but then never started. And I could not get it to start on retrying. So I verified local files, but that did not help.

Then I restarted my PC. I'd had OneNote open, so Windows tried to restart it after the reboot, but it threw a bunch of errors about missing DLLs. I tried to start Word, same thing. So I ran the Office installer again. And that fixed both the Office Apps and Ace Combat. I'm guessing the Ace Combat install did something bad to shared files (like DLLs) that are needed by many programs. The office install fixed that issue. Or something....

Hello.
I had an issue with crashing Ace Combat 7 during launching via Steam.
I have reinstalled the game - it didn't help.
I have checked the files integrity with Steam tool (via properties - right click on the game in Steam library) - all was ok but it didn't help.
So I have located execution file in local folder and right click on *.exe - i have turned on compatibility mode for windows 8 and turned on "running as an administrator".
It finally helped.
Hope it will help you too.
PS. I'm runnig it on Windows 11.
