Restart a campaign

If you restart a campaign, do you keep planes and credit?

On console yes, I have restarted 4 times now and kept everything.

Yeah you don't even have to finish the campaign. You can restart halfway through and you still keep your credit and planes.

Can you still play free mission on the missions you've already beaten?

I don't know, but I do know that it's easier to get through the campaign since you have better planes than what you did at the start.

Yes the missions remain unlocked in free mode.

Yes, I did start on Hard but got stuck on Mission 06
so restarted on Normal with everything I've had unlock previously.

Yep, it's ostensibly a New Game + mode, once you finish the campaign as well.

Note that you have to complete the game once (Possibly on at least Normal) to unlock enemy aces to hunt though.
