Free fly mode, but NO 'free landing gear' mode?

I really like the option to 'test drive' the airplanes, flying around and admiring the scenery. Perfect for that relaxing moments, specially with the adition of the VR mode. My problem is, why can't we land?

You can look at it, but you can't eat it
You can smell it, but you can't drink it
You can see her, but you can't...

This AC is actually very good. Why all those limitations?

Oh, come on why can't we use the landing gear to take off and land? Please, add a key for the landing gear function, on the game.

A plane without landing gear is like a car without wheel. We can't land and take off in free mode, so cheap and weird for a plane game. I really hope they will add it. it's cool to land and take off just for fun.

Not a flight sim, it's not focused on nuances like that which the vast majority of players don't really care about. You're supposed to fly and destroy targets, that's it.

This is literally the first time we've ever seen someone complain that they can't land the plane in free flight.

Also I'm sure you can't free flight in VR, so there's that too.

I know i must fly and destroy targets but....After the job is done the soldier in me want to come back home and land. For me it's the best part of flying. Landing and take off. It's something we do with a plane and in the middle of some mission anyway's. So i think they should put that in the free mode just to practice on a landing strip and the aircraft carriers. We have all this in the game anyway, so i hope they will add it in free mode. ♥♥♥♥ i can land in The crew 2, and Gta 5 and Just Cause and other game but not in this game and it's a flight combat simulator? The only one thing you can do in this game is fly and shoot and upgrage your plane so. They should add it just for immersion.

Oh my god how long will you defend this game's dearth of features? AC6 had cutscene-free landings but "Boo Hoo AC7 development woes," I guess. Takeoffs/Landings are even worse in this game with how much it holds your hand. Maybe there's a lot of first time complaints because the game is legitimately lacking.

PCVR will probably suck too. The game is optimized well enough that anyone can run it. The only reason to not allow it in free-flight at this point is that none of the planes have fully-functioning cockpit instruments. But hey, if it's not a sim, why would that matter?

I guess you only pay attention to certain comments I make huh? I've said countless times the game lacks a lot, it's just that this case it's absurdly niche and not important. Who gives a flying crap that AC6 had landings or whatever? Most the the playerbase doesn't care.

And yeah, why would realistic instruments fully working in the cockpit matter? A lot of that information is not even available to the plubic with a bunch of planes in the first place. I much rather have them focus on doing something else like improving multiplayer, more planes, more missions or whatever instead of adding freaking glittler and fluff to the game like that. This is what I don't get: you people seem to give lots of value to that stuff, then why the heck are you not playing the games that contain such things? That's why "it's not a sim", because you want a more sim-like experience and the games are out there, go play them.

Also you don't actually know why there is no free flight for the VR mode, if the cockpit instruments were the issue, then there wouldn't be VR at all, since everyone plays it with that view. So don't make such nonsense statments.

If you want to have a relaxing flight, it looks like Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) is coming out in a bit. It was announced at E3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReDDgFfWlS4 Holy moly, it's the first time I've seen MSFS really approach the visual quality of Ace Combat. I've always wanted some program that gave the freedom of flying anywhere and any time like MSFS, and the technical elements of a "study sim" if you wanted it, coupled with the visuals and aircraft of Ace Combat games and the ability to blow up tons of stuff if you wanted it. You never seem to see all that in one package though. (It's probably hard/expensive to put all that functionality in one place.)

Gentlemen, please, behave... let's just enjoy the game. Regards to all. By the way; I still would like to «manual control», the airplane's landing gear.

*The upcoming 'new' Flight Simulator looks simply stunning!

But the question is...Is it full playable with a gamepad.I guess not as always. I spend and lost a lots of money in differents last version of flight simulator. And it's always a big headache for configuration of the controller. Zero controller support!!! I just want to have a landing gear in free mode like in some mission. The D-pad is empty anyway's. They could easilly do that i think.
