Yeah i think so too, there are so much references here that could lead to that dystopian future.
He also points out in the game that a large nation like say the "EU" or "USA" isn't as united as we personally like to believe. If the "System" fails so to speak we will go back to tribalism though most likely at a national level. You see this during the collapse of the Russian Empire, when nations like Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Finland, and Poland all emerged and declared their Independence, which lead to the Red Incursion ie the Red Army while still fighting a Civil War launched invasions of most of these countries, nations like Ukraine and Belarus were occupied before they could defend themselves, but the Balkan States and Poland held strong, and repelled the Communist.
You later see this again with Yugoslavia, and the Fall of the USSR, when everyone found an excuse to leave the "Master" state or 'break' up into smaller states.

I am completly honest with you, i believe that at 1:05 we see Abyssal Dision and IF he really is it it fits perfectly for the Description of the Season Pass Page that says something like "fight against the biggest Evil in the Series" and we all know Abyssal is Chaos incarnated.
But then again someone mentioned you can see the Butterfly Symbol in der Trailer for a split Second, which could lead to the Butterfly Master who was, in Infinity, an insane Ace that primarly used UAV´s to his Advantage with his CFA-44 Nosferatu Plane (maybe thats the 3rd plane?)
What do you Guys think?
I would laugh out loud if they would make a AC3 Remake and then in the End it Turns out it was the real Deal this Time.
The Z.O.E drones in particular were sent to fly against Phoenix in order to gather more combat data, building upon the data of Cipher and Pixy's battle that formed the basis for it all.
Z.O.E. in that game was a lot more capable than the ones in the original AC2.
They mimic the pattern of Yellow Squadron and Mihaly.
Namely that they are impossible to shoot down during initial encounters. They will instead either run or there will be some kind of outside interference.
That this changes in the end games isn't meant to represent these aces losing their edge, it's meant to highlight the growth of the player character.
In the case of Z.O.E. with Phoenix, or the AC7 AI's with Trigger, they learn and adapt, but the player character learns and adapts even more.
One detail not mentioned often is that the IUPF mentioned in AC7? That acronym was also used in Ace Combat Joint Assault, which was not based on Strangereal, but another alternate 'real' Earth that may or may not be connected to either Assault Horizon or Infinity.
