Xbox Controller Issues

So I have barely played this game, and theres a very simple reason for that. My Xbox One wireless controller is not working with this game, it works in plenty of others but Ace Combat 7 does not detect any inputs and I have no way of even trying to fix this as the input options are sorely limited.

I have no other peripherals plugged in and it shows Xbox controller button prompts, they simply don't register any input from the controller.
Anyone else experiencing similar?

*EDIT* Wired controllers seem to be working fine, and some people are having this issue occur after a recent patch.

*NEW EDIT* The problem is due to outdated firmware with the wireless controllers. Use Xbox Accessories on Windows 10 to update.

Yes same issue here. Let's also mention that it does occur the same while playing on a Nvidia Shield. The controller is simply not detected and you can navigate menu and game only with keyboard. I'm about to ask for a refund as the game is being flagged as "full controller support". Obviously inaccurate.

I would rather not have to resort to mouse and keyboard.

I've been using an Xbox 360 conttoller (wired). No issues.

My old wired Xbox 360 controller works just fine with the game, only problem I'm having is that now that I have my flight stick the game still thinks I'm using my 360 controller.

hi i found a easy way to fix the problem open ace combat properties in steam and set 'steam input per-game setting' to forced on. so far i can only say it work for me but hope it can help you to :)

@Mr Grae, thanks for posting the solution in your edit. I too had the same issue. Fixed it by using that app and updating the bluetooth controller via the usb c wire

It might be that your controller is in the port the game thinks is for controller 2. I had the same problem with a WIRED controller and I was able to fix it by unplugging ALL of my controllers and then plugging in only the controller I wanted to use after restarting the computer.
