Is the download only 35GB?

Thought the size was 50GB, coming from the steam requirements. Also, when I was done preloading my game, the game told me that it would start downloading again but in reality; when I press it, it kept saying it would download at that time.

What going on?

The download is compressed to 35GB so you can download it in less time. Once it has finished downloaded it takes up to 50GB of your disk space.

I see, I never pre-loaded a game before so this is actually first time something is compressed, thanks.

In terms of it still saying it needs to download, it's probably just a small download that will happen when the game unlocks at the release time, just to finish things off.

Do note, while the download is 35GB, it will take a while to fully unpack properly. So you might have a few long load times for menus and stuff if you play within minutes after full completion of the download. That should go away after an hour or two.
