Game is still better played on a controller anyway.
The only thing I will say is that pitch control is a pain because mice naturally stop polling after a short period of time. This means you have to constantly crane your arm around as you reach the end of your mousepad and start moving again to get the massive pitch turns you need to dog fight.
That or maybe you can adjust the sensitivity to be higher, but then it becomes harder to do more minute control for accuracy when lining up your guns.
Either way, didn't stop me from enjoying the game. I didn't change any control settings, except I can't remember if I inverted the inverted controls or not.
