I also hope that they do not choose to stop releasing on PC because of this behavior. I can't afford to buy a PS4 or PS5 for AC8

Not that I'm defending it, but hackers are gonna hack, it's PA who's to blame for including the files.

Beep i dont think people are aware that any game can and will crack eventually and succumb to hacks such as these
