Why are so many of the hackers from Russia or China?
Time to be honest. I have nothing against China, but I certainly don't like Russia for my own personal reasons (they attacked my country). Even so, I won't generalize the entire population. That said, I have noticed that almost all of the hackers (if not all of them) have Steam accounts that show they are from these countries. Even that Frank Castle hacker, who had an English name, was from China. I have also noticed this in other games though. What's the deal?

Different cultural expectations and allowances.

Some of them are trolls. They think that this is funny, others can't figure out the game. Some think that others are hackers and etc. Honestly, for some unknown reason eastern/asian countries have the biggest amount of hackers.

Maybe it's time to check the VAC discussion, man. I've seen so many Russians cheating in VAC-secured servers and begging for their VAC bans to be revoked and there'll be no exception that they'll creep around this game.

None of the MP games are free of cheaters (or whatever you said). We honest players should live up with it.

Where do I find that discussion? I could use a little schadenfreude with my coffee this morning.

I remember even as far back as 2001, most of the hackers were Chinese. I recall a lot of cheaters in Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction. Although back in those days, I'd say it was maybe 25% Western hackers and the rest Chinese. Russians didn't seem to get into the hacking scene until around 2007, but maybe I just didn't notice them before. I could see it being a cultural thing.

On the Steam Forums section, look for the VAC Discussion. You can't miss it.

A lot of users who VAC banned flocked there to revoke their bans or to just share their "crap" story that most users found it irrelevant on how they get one. It's why 99% of the threads locked. The rest? Dunno.

I even by accident found one Polish user who owns this game (AC7) too. Forgot the name or whatever his SteamID is.
It's because the governments of Russia and China are both authoritarian and criminal, so they both strongly encourage and reward computer crimes against Western nations (especially NATO nations). Russian and Chinese governments have gone to great lengths to build government-funded hacking organizations at many different levels from amateur to expert. They use hacking and cybercrime as weapons and to enhance their military and corporate technology and industries by training thousands of hackers to commit online intellectual property theft (e.g. steal blueprints and other secret information from Western militaries and private tech companies).

Since hacking is so deeply encouraged and deeply interwoven into their respective cultures while at the same time they both have a large number of poor and oppressed citizens (who can't afford games so they steal them), the end result is that people in the West see a majority of hacking and cybercrime coming from the East (primarily Russia and China) at every level of severity, from amateur game-hacking/cheating to corporate espionage and digital sabotage (attacks on physical locations and infrastructure).

The Chinese are even more strongly committed to cybercrime and Internet espionage than the Russians (mainly due to a larger budget for it, and a national heritage of intellectual theft), they are both critical tools in China's foreign policy arsenal. You will only see this trend get worse in the future, until all Western nations come together to strongly diplomatically oppose or strategically counter Eastern cybercrime, espionage, and general hacking.

By the way, I've got nothing against Russian or Chinese common people, I have friends in both nations. I'm not generalizing here either and have no quarrel with regular citizens no matter what nation they live in. However, there is a vast amount of factual evidence that clearly shows the criminality and authoritarian-nature of the modern Russian and Chinese governments, the evidence is so overwhelming and comes from so many international sources, that there's simply no arguing that most of the cybercrime in the world doesn't come from Russia and China. The Russians went so far as to 'hack' the U.S. elections in 2016 through psychological warfare/social manipulation using social media along with traditional hacking and espionage operations. These problems must be addressed properly and promptly.

Every single government can be described like that. Also US 2016 elections weren't hacked or influenced or anything.

The Chinese honestly believe that you're an idiot if you don't use every method available to achieve victory. This includes cheating, of course.

Most Chinese players aren't cheaters, so that should prove such mindset is not really true.

Yeah. I have to agree here. I have seen tons of Chinese players who do not hack. It's not fair to generalize a population. People do not get to choose where they are born. Not only that, you have to consider that even people in countries like China and Russia probably hate hackers as much as people in the United States. With that said, I still think it is interesting that there is such a high concentration of hackers in these two countries. I would love to learn why this is the case.

Americans also cheat. The world is a true "state of nature", and people who cannot admit this fact are deluding themselves. Still, this doesn't explain the concentration of hackers in these two countries. Why video games? Is it practice for them?

Things like overall the population being more interested in things that at least related to hacking and sheer number of people should contribute to the cause. Like the movie industry's income is now concentrated in China because they simply have so many people.

As a Chinese pilot, I'm very sad about it. There are some very awful hackers in Russia, South Korea and China. Even some hackers using other people's name while they do that(My friends and I had been simulated by a Chinese hacker till now).I'm very sad about it.
Here's my Bilibili zone, if somebody hacked in my and my friends' name, you can send private message to me: https://space.bilibili.com/432878313
I will reupload my dogfight videos with my friends after 2019.6.7.
If you want to see my historical dogfights, my old Bilibili account(Banned because of some political words in comments area) have all of my gameplay videos to see: https://space.bilibili.com/349894757?from=search&seid=13056094716862154497

Hey guys, it might not be so ture. I usually see hackers from South Korea as often as Russian and Chinese(I'm a Chinese player, and I'm not glad to see any hackers, no matter in Battlefield 1 or Ace Combat 7), can you say that South Korea's government is authoritarian and criminal?(But North Korea's must be). Politics is politics, game is game, all right? I can understand your feelings because I'm also very painful in online game play while some hackers comes(Especially Korean and Chinese hackers).

Maybe a smaller library of games allowed in Russia/China, coupled with the dozens of children all over? Not to mention I see more Russians with multiple steam accounts than any other.
