I've seen a player who's a crack shot with EML and he seems legit, except if he's spamming multiple shots of that SPW, which can ruin your day.
He never said anything about cheating, just someone that he can't beat.
I'm thinking from OP's post that this random dude destroys everything and said that:
My first thought of this is a cheater that spam-shooting missiles on ALL players in the game. I've seen cases like that once or twice here. Literally kills fun and "bandit splashing" skills here.
I could be wrong, though. If it's not cheating, then this random ♥♥♥ dude could be a very skilled one like the one I met before. He's a crack shot with EML in his X-02S.
Some players are just very good, but I also think they should handicap themselves somewhat, least they help kill the online faster by scaring noobs.
If you don't wanna be a QAAM ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥,
make an F15C with SASM, enter a room full of noobs and hit them head on. Launch a SASM per loop. This also works for experienced players who aren't experienced enough to know to avert head-ons from SASM players.
Noobs come out during sales.
Compare CS:GO or any Valve games with this game. VAC always ban people who have cheats active in the game memory. And there are tons of reviewers who can watch your games and can give you cooldown and/or permanent game ban for Minorly Disruptive or Majorly Disruptive offense. To say that only bunch of people touched MP in this game, anti-cheat for this game is so basic that people can bypass it again and cheat. Literally kills fun and the ethical way of splashing bandits.
Bamco should have implement VAC, like the way CAPCOM and their released Resident Evil 6 game, or Activision and their released Call of Duty games, do. It's more effective that way than using their own anti-cheat system, that the VAC-banned users will be given restrictions, and... more of the users that banned in this game flocked to VAC discussion pleading to be unbanned (seriously, it's hilarious there, with almost 99% of the WHOLE unbanning posts locked).
One way to make MP better would pass only by making physics realistic. The first and foremost most important thing to apply to the physics would be that you cannot make turns at high speeds like in real life. This would force everyone to dogfight withhin the limits of subsonic speeds, like also happens in real life.
Second thing would be the climbing speed even when you try doing it a very low speeds =you cannot accelerate here like in ace combat 3. That would make it more realistic too.
These two alone would make multiplayer better by not allowing everyone making full speed turns, or climbing at full speed etc maneuvers.
Then it would come the special weaons issue. Of course all of them banned, the only way to play fair.
I'm not saying that they're bad, but sometimes they listen to us. People are asking SO MANY demands that a corporation can't keep up and said, "♥♥♥♥ this, I'm outta here!" that sort of thing. We're one between millions of users asking for a feature that they can maintain, and anti-cheats like VAC, EAC, BattleNet, etc. are among them.
If you are goona bet your game's longevity on the MP, then at least make it good. Still, an ac whose SP missions are not replayed on a daily basis for years can only mean so much.
The Belkan War had also MP and the SP missions were galaxies beyond fun/replayability wise.One can only hope AC8 not to have MP, now that time+money combo are so meaningful for developers, since tech got harder in the end. Even UE takes time. All sources on SP should be the way to go.
That would be a fine shot in the foot. If anything they need to improve their MP, god knows I wouldn't have 250 hours of played time if not for MP. All the people I know with tons of hours played got it from MP.
