Since Kentaro Miura (the guy who created, wrote, and drew the manga) unexpectedly died earlier this year, the final chapter was 364 (released after his death). There's been some talk about trying to keep the series going, but people aren't really sure exactly how to continue it. Still, 350+ chapters is a very good run, especially for a series as lore-heavy and well illustrated as Berserk.

I agree. something your rarely see in anime. Lore is perfect and nothing over powering. I want more.

I keep seeing rumors online about a season 3 of Berserk possibly coming soon.

While I don't hate the recent rendition of Berserk as much as most people, I do agree it's bad. So I would definitely prefer they reboot it as well.

To be fair don't think they've ever actually adapted the beginning, they skipped first arc for the golden age arc wit the exception of the brief clip in the original anime.
A new reboot with better animation is nothing but good tho, gets more people in to the series and finally gives a good anime adaption that could last more than a year or two.
This's about the best you'll get now. Watched tGAA trilogy recently and was amazed at how much was cut out, still these guys give me hope. They are actually looking for people to take part, if anyone's interested...

Sadly the writer of this series died so what you see is what you get :(

The original '97 anime did the Black Swordsman Arc a prelude episode just like the manga (Literally titled the Black Swordsman, Puck doesn't show up in it, but since he wouldn't appear in the rest of series they replaced him with a young girl). Itthen runs through the whole Golden Age Arc through to the Eclipse. (Hows that for a cliffhanger?) Yes, there are some bits missing, most notably Puck (as mentioned above), and Wyld, but on the whole it is a solid adaptation.

FYI, seeing the whole series for the first time at the Anime Room at GenCon '99, is what compelled me hunt down fan-sub VHS tapes of it. Yes, that was a thing once upon a year. It wasn't until the Box of War DVD release in 2003 that I could actually get an official copy. But those fan subs are why I bought the Dreamcast game back in 2000. It was definately a case of "Take my money!"

You say they adapted Black Swordsman Arc except Puck but they left out 90% of it, how is hat adapting it at all? They didn't even include The Count, the main villain of the arc.

Okay, to be fair I haven't watched or read the either in at least a decade. but, I could have sworn the count was the cobra dude and he was absolutely in the OG anime.
