Not the original Anime but the butchered 3D remakes of the anime.
The movies were alright. Yes the original anime had more emotion... but for those who wanted to see better animated fights, the 3 movies did a good job. Particular in the first movie when Guts is attacked by Corkus & co. It happens fast but the animations are good and he is not just swinging his sword like a club, but actually using decent techniques.
If you wanna ♥♥♥♥ on anything, please do it on the 2016 version. :p I'm sure we can all agree that it should never have happened, as much as I appreciate the music from that... but they ruined even that by shamelessly abusing Hai Yo every 5 seconds when Guts turns his head or farts.
Anyway... Story is what made Berserk so big in the first place so it's alright to have many cutscenes. For a game where your goal is to interact rather than watch it might not work out for everyone, especially those who aren't familiar with Berserk... but story is still a must-have for a Berserk game.
"...boobs, **** and gore..."
I wonder... if boobs cover the lewd parts and gore the action parts... what could **** be then? :p
When I was a kid, I remember plugging in a cartridge and you were dodging barrels or jumping on mushrooms a few seconds later.
Quite honestly, I don't know what "Beserk" is, which is exactly why I would want to jump in and start playing something. I was curious, so I clicked on a trailer, and then it said there were over two hours of cinematics. It might be a great selling point for people who know it, but for me it really made me think twice.
I'm very much about gameplay, so when I find a chance to game, it's really cool just to be able to play. Sometimes I may have only 30 minutes to spend on a game, then I get tied up in cinematics for a good part of it.
Another game they really mucked up was Metal Gear Solid 5: TPP. It took me awhile to find time to play it, then by time I got to it, I'm gimping through a hospital for 15 minutes or so at the beginning. I darn near fell asleep.
